Welcome to Summer!
We have rounded the corner of 2019 and we barely have a few months
left and it will be time for the next “Changing of the Guard”. The format
of the newsletters bring them to your doorsteps four times per year instead
of the six times per year as in the past. As a result, the fourth and
final newsletter should arrive on October 1st, which is only days before
the annual election of the Homeowners Association Board of Directors.
I am choosing to bring this up as my “newsletter topic” this quarter so
that everyone in the community has ample time to consider spending
some time this next year as a volunteer member of the board and helping
with the many needs of Twin Lakes. As of now, it appears that there
will be three openings out of the five seats on the board. The positions
needed may vary based on the outcome of the election and it will be
up to the newly elected board to decide who will handle each position.
Unlike my predecessor before me, my time as a board member will be
coming to an end this fall. I am grateful for all of the homeowners who
have helped alongside me and I will be grateful for the future homeowners
who will help keep Twin Lakes of Brandon the wonderful place
that it is. While we live in a world that gives us a stage for sharing, it is
often empowered with sharing the negative. I encourage everyone to
rise up and share the positive. Attend a board meeting just to find out
what is happening in the community and share a positive experience.
Or better yet, come to a meeting to find out how you can volunteer to
help our community with your special talents. We have a volunteer to
produce this newsletter, maintain the website, fill Easter eggs, donate
their time to help events take place. If a board seat is too much of a
commitment at this time, take a first step and help out with Art in the
Park and meet some more of your neighbors.
If you are interested in volunteering or would like more information on
filling a future HOA Board of Directors Position, please reach out to me
and I would be happy to discuss with you.
As always, my best wishes for you and your families,
